The 2nd. annual meeting in LUNA will be held on 16 December 2011 from 10 to 16.
We will have the pleasure of listen to four excellent scientists presenting their knowledge and recent research results within firstly; dynamic low level gene expression and its relation to embryonic stem cell differentiation, secondly, transgenic minipigs mimicking human artherosclerosis, thirdly, the consequences of imbalance in the complement activation system on autoimmune diseases and lastly the role of dis-regulated mannose binding lectin in diabetic vascular complications.

LUNA is the acronym for “The Lundbeck Foundation Nanomedicine Centre for Individualized Management of Tissue Damage and Regeneration”.
The centre is doing research in the use of nanomedicine for new drug design, drug delivery, bioimaging and tissue regeneration to support individualized prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular and musculoskeletal diseases.
The centre is headed jointly by the iNANO Centre (Aarhus University) and Aarhus University Hospital.
